A
4" x 6" card featuring the gorgeous and so versatile Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and other elements from the Peaceful Poppies Suite available in the Jan-Jun 2020 Mini Catalogue.
This card is one of five made for my Peaceful Poppies With Product Class of January 2020.
Project Recipe
First take a piece of Blackberry Bliss Card measuring 8" x 6" and, with the long side at the top of your Paper Trimmer, score down at the 4" mark.
Fold the scoreline and burnish using your Bone Folder to give a crisp crease.
Cut a section from the piece of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper which looks like two fields of poppies. This needs to measure 5 13/16" x 3 13/16" (using the lines marked on your trimmer, move the paper 3 small lines to the right of the 6" and 4" marks).
Attach this to the front of the Blackberry Bliss Card Base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Snail.
From the Peaceful Poppies Elements, remove three poppy heads (check the section of DSP you have on your card as to which ones to use) and two leaves from the Vellum diecut sheet.
On the REVERSE side of each element Ilay them face up in their final position to make sure you get the right side) use a small ball tool to gently emboss the outer edges and any detail lines as printed.
Once embossed, use a small drop of Fine Tip Glue to attach each element in place as shown, trying to keep the glue behind any embossed area so it is less obvious.
Take a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and using the 'Wishing You Every Happiness This Special Day Will Bring' stamp from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin' Ink stamp the image. Then, using the rounded rectangle frame die from the Painted Labels Dies, cut out the sentiment.
Fold a length of Whisper White 1/4" (6.4mm) Crinkled Seam Binding in half and attach to the back of the sentiment so that the fold sticks out about 1/2" to the right and the ends about 1/2" to the left of the edges. Trim the ends of the ribbon at an angle as shown.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the sentiment to the top right hand corner of the card.
The DSP does all the hard work on this card - it is such a gorgeous sheet.
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" and using the poppy border stamp from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and Old Olive Classic Stampin' Ink, stamp the border across the bottom short edge of the cardstock.
Using Rich Razzleberry, Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Basic Black Stampin' Markers, colour in your border.
Attach the insert to the inside of your card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Snail.
Your card is now finished so sit back and admire your creation.
Happy Stampin'
Babs
