Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of overlaying copper foil petals on orange background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1/2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Ink up Block D by pressing it directly onto the open Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Then, press it firmly onto the top of the vertical Very Vanilla rectangle so it is evenly spaced side to side and is about 1/2" from the top edge. Lift the block off the cardstock and you should have a mottled square. Set the cardstock aside to dry for a moment. Clean the block by rubbing it on the Simply Shammy.
Once the ink square on the vanilla rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
As you are ready to stamp using the Country Home Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the fall flower arrangement with cotton tails image from the Country Home Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped square block image on the vanilla rectangle.
Lay the stamped vanilla rectangle on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Tip: If excess powder sticks on the square block image, you can brush it off with a small paintbrush or don't worry about it as it will just add some extra texture and color to your project.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped and heat embossed vanilla rectangle on the work paper and color with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in the cat tails.
Use the Dark and Light Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to color in the artichoke.
Use the Light Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to color in the berries..
Use the Dark and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to color in the ivy leaves.
Use the Light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to color in the feathery leaves.
Adhere the piece of Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the stamped, heat embossed, and colored vanilla rectangle.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Very Vanilla strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the rounder label top) as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "thanks," "hello," "love," or "enjoy" sentiment from the Country Home Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment on the punched sentiment strip near the left edge with the punched edge on the left.
Adhere the sentiment strip punch out to the bottom right corner of the Very Vanilla/designer paper rectangle. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the right edge.
Pick out a Shaded Spruce bell from the Jingle Bells.
Cut a 5" piece of the Copper 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Thread the bell onto the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock layers so it hides the seam between the layers. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Very Vanilla rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Copper 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front over the bell. This will also help keep the bell in place.
