I saw this on a scrapbook page and really wanted to try it out on a card. The original page left the black space total white, I did not like that look on the card. Hope you like how I changed it up a bit.
Project Recipe
Fold your 8 1/2 x 5 1/ piece of Early Espresso in half and add 5 1/4 x 4 piece of White to the inside. Stamp words if you wish.
Take your 5 x 3 3/4 piece of white.
Stamp words with Razzleberry.
Then take a scrap piece of torn paper and cover up words.
Next, ink up Hardwood stamp with Espresso Ink and stamp onto the white piece with words covered.
Finally, use daubers and sponges to "color" your wood.
BEFORE you layer your wood piece onto the 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Razzleberry cut a piece from the middle with a paper trimmer to make your base for the smaller piece of white that is 2 7/8 x 2.
Then you can add the Razzleberry piece with the wood piece attached to your card base.
Stamp the smaller white piece edges with Soft Suede and the leaves with Old Olive. You can dauber/sponge Soft Suede onto the piece also.
To make flower stamp off the lines first and then stamp onto scrap white with Razzleberry. Use full strength Razzleberry for the outside of the flower. Cut out and add with Dimensionals.
Layer your small white piece onto the Razzleberry CS you cut from the middle of the larger piece and trim to fit. Add to card with dimensionals.
