Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 3-7/8" of sketched flowers in red and pink on white background pattern from All My Love Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/8" x 3-7/8" of stitched diagonal white stripes on red background from All My Love Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at least 1-1/2" wide
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-1/2" wide
Adhere the small piece of floral All My Love Designer Paper to the top of the large Flirty Flamingo rectangle leaving about 1/16" of Flirty Flamingo showing on the top, left, and right edges.
Adhere the large piece of diagonal dashed lines All My Love Designer Paper to the bottom of the large Flirty Flamingo rectangle leaving about 1/16" of Flirty Flamingo showing on the bottom, left, and right edges.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Lovely Lipstick 1/2" ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it covers the seam between the two different pieces of designer paper. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Lovely Lipstick card.
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side. Put a piece of Small Grid Paper on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the white square on the Stamparatus base so the top is on the horizontal 1" line on the Small Grid Paper and the left edge is on the 6" vertical line on the Small Grid Paper. Use the magnet in the lower right corner of the square to hold the cardstock in place.
Pick out the flat-line bottom row of flowers image from the Meant To Be Set. Place it upside down in the upper center of the white square so it is near the top edge. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the white cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have a Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Remove the magnet and rotate the white square a quarter turn. Put it back on the base so the top is on the 1" horizontal line and the left edge is on the 6" vertical line. Put the magnet back in the lower right corner. Re-ink the stamp on the plate and stamp. Repeat two more times until you have stamped the image on all 4 sides of the white square. Remember to rotate the cardstock a quarter turn each time and re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the square framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits that cuts out a 1-7/8" square. Place the stamped white square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the square framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped images. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped square framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits that cuts out a 2-1/4" scalloped square. Place the Flirty Flamingo square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped square framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the stamped white square cut out to the center of the Flirty Flamingo scalloped square cut out.
Adhere the matted squares to the front of the card so they are centered over the ribbon on the card front.
Mount the "for you" sentiment from the Cake Soiree Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the scrap of white cardstock.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the Flirty Flamingo circle punch out to the center of the stamped white square on the card front.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the center of the Flirty Flamingo circle.
Cut a 10" piece of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine.
Pick out a large Lovely Lipstick button from the Tinted Faceted Buttons.
Thread the ends of the twine through the holes in the button from the back side. Tie in place with a tiny bow. Trim the ends, but leave them long.
Tip: Use a floss threader or needle threader to help you get the twine through the holes in the button.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the button with twine tied on to the card front so it is in the lower left corner of the stamped white square.
