P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of pine cones and berry sprigs and pine boughs design from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
If you haven't already done so, put some water into an Aqua Painter.
Shake the bottle of Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint while the lid is on tight. Remove the lid and place it on some Grid Paper on your work surface open end up. Squeeze the Aqua Painter gently to get the brush damp. Pick up some Shimmer Paint from the lid. Paint in all white areas on the pine cones on the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper. Get more glittery fluid on the brush as needed. Set aside the designer paper to let it dry.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 3-1/2" long oval. Place the Shaded Spruce rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep the oval framelit out for use in the next step.
Place the Old Olive rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top.
Pick out the "merry" thinlit from the Merry Christmas Thinlits. Place it on top of the Old Olive rectangle on the Big Shot so it is inside the oval framelit already in place. Make sure the thinlit and framelit do NOT overlap! Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces. Throw away the word "merry" that you cut out (or keep it for use on a later project). Keep the oval with the word cut out of the center.
Adhere the Old Olive oval with the word cut out of the center to the Shaded Spruce oval.
Adhere the altered Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper rectangle to the Real Red rectangle and then to the front of the Old Olive card.
Adhere the matted "merry" oval to the center of the card front.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the cross-hatch outlined label image from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white strip.
Mount the block letter, small "Christmas" sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped label image on the white strip.
Pick out the large label framelit from the Merry Christmas Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment label on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the label framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the front of the card so it covers the lower left side of the matted "merry" oval.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front on top of the tail of the "y" in the word "merry" in the oval cut out.
