Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" of white daisies and small flowers and leaves scattered on yellow background design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Insert the Old Olive rectangle into the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Paper to the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle so about 3/8" of green shows on the left side of the designer paper. Trim off any excess designer paper on the top or bottom edge using Paper Snips if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the white strip into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the single daisy on a stem image from the Ornate Style Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white tag with the top of the daisy being close to the top of the tag.
Put the daisy tag on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the rectangle of scrollwork image from the Ornate Style Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it below the stem of the daisy so it is centered side to side with some of the image going off the left and right edges of the tag.
Pick out the long, thin die with straight stitching, small holes, and small scallops from the Ornate Border Dies. Put it on top of the stamped daisy and scrollwork tag on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is just below the bottom of the scrollwork and will cut off the bottom edge of the tag. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the designer paper that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the daisy tag on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the leaf and stem of the daisy.
Cut a 2-3/4" piece of Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon so it has a sharp downward angle on the left end.
Put a small strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the daisy tag so it is just above the top of the stamped scrollwork. Remove the protective backing and adhere the ribbon piece to the tag so the sharp downward angle is on the left side of the tag and sticks out about 3/4". Trim off any excess ribbon on the right side so it is even with the side of the tag.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ornate Thanks Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "you're amazing" sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Crushed Curry Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut the cardstock at a sharp downward angle just on the left side of the sentiment.
Put a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the tag so it overlaps the top of the ribbon already on the tag. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the sentiment strip to the tag so it overlaps the top of the ribbon and the sharp downward angle is on the left side and sticks out about 3/8". Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the right side of the tag so it is even with the edge of the tag.
Cut a 3" piece of the Terracotta Tile 1/4" ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.
Cut an 8" piece of the Crumb Cake twine from the Nature's Twine.
Slide the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag and get it centered. Tie the ribbon in place using the twine tied in a small bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon and twine.
Adhere the tag to the front of the card so it is centered up and down and is centered over the right side of the designer paper strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium gem from a sheet of Gold Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the daisy.
