T he shutter card has major WOW factor when it is opened. It really is easy! This one is using the Farmhouse Christmas Bundle, which is just my style. As always the bundle savings of 10% is only good for the first catalog a set is in, so if you like this one you need to purchase by 12/31/2018.
Project Recipe
1 - Crumb Cake base 8.5" x 5.5" score at 2 1/8" & 6 3/8" makes a gatefold card.
2 - Festive Farmhouse DSP layers for the R & L front panels 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" centered on each panel.
1 - Mossy Meadow layer 4.25" x 2.75" Attach 1" down from the top of DSP on LEFT side only. Decorate with the colored tree, house, and greeting. Add Red Rhinestones to the tree (3 to 5).
1 - Mossy Meadow layer 3" x 5.5"
1 - Very Vanilla Layer 2.75" x 5.25"
Center the VV layer on the MM layer and cut out the 2 3/8" circle die from both layers with the top of the die 1.25" down from the top of the VV layer and centered on the layer. Add dimensionals across the top and bottom, but only attach the bottom ones at this time.
1 - 2" VV circle with Christmas Greetings in MM ink centered on Cherry Cobbler 2.5" circle and with the top of the panel with the circles cut out open you can center the greeting layers, and attach flat. Then attach the top of the long panel.
2 - Cherry Cobbler shutter tabs, using the largest banner die (retired set) then cut to 3.5" remove length from the straight end. Then score in 1/2" from the straight end. If you do not have the banner set dies you want a banner that is 2.75" x 3.5" and a 1" to 1.25" banner end and then scored in 1/2" on the flat edge. Add strong double-sided tape to the top of the flat edge between the score mark and the edge. Attach one shutter at a time, line up the edge of the shutter with the gate-fold score, and under the long panel, and centered over the greeting. Remove tape backing and close that side of the card. Repeat for the other shutter making sure the 2nd shutter is on top of the first shutter and under the long panel. Decorate with colored pick-up truck die and red rhinestones.
